Rev. Scott Bowen, Pastor

Scott came to FPC in January of 2007 upon graduation from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Sou th Hamilton, MA. Prior to seminary, Scott served in youth ministry at Signal Mountain Presbyterian Church outside Chattanooga, TN. Originally from Nashville, TN., Scott graduated from the University of North Carolina in 2000. He is married to Amanda Bowen, and they have two sons.

David Bailey, Counselor/Assistant to the Pastor

David came to FPC in August of 2009.  He grew up in Auburn before attending Davidson College and Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando.  At RTS, David received his Masters of Divinity as well as his Masters in Counseling, both of which he utilizes in his ministry at FPC.  David serves part time as assistant to the pastor with responsibilities in pastoral care, teaching and community development.  David also serves as a counselor in private practice to the East Alabama area.  David is married to Lori, who grew up in Montgomery before graduating from Auburn.  They have one son.

Ginger Ryan, Director of Children's Ministries

Ginger joined the FPC staff in August 2008.  She brings gifts of service, administration and hospitality to our ministry to children.  Ginger is responsible for overseeing children's Sunday School, Wednesday night programming and special events, as well as building relationships with children and high school girls.  A 2007 graduate of Auburn, she is married to Jonathan, an Auburn PhD student and FPC member.

Lin Thornton, Choir Director

Lin has served the music ministry of FPC since 2002. She also works as a librarian at Auburn University. Lin is charged with the task of leading the choir and incorporating music and song into the life and worship of FPC.

Mary Slaton, Organist/Pianist

Mary began her current role as pianist/organist in 2006. Her gifts in music are widely known as she has instructed countless students in piano over the years.

Kaitlyn Killion, Nursery Coordinator

Kaitlyn joined the FPC team as the coordinator of our Nursery ministry.  She brings valuable experience and organization to the care of our children and their parents.  Born in California, Kaitlyn is currently studying Zoology at Auburn.

Lynne Schwarzauer, Church Secretary

Lynne has been serving at FPC since 1996. She handles all the administrative needs of the church.
