When are FPO’s Sunday Services?
During the school year, we have two identical Sunday worship services at 8:15am and 10:45am. During the summer months and during University holidays, we have only the 10:45am worship service.
Where is FPO Located?
We are located at 900 2nd Ave. in downtown Opelika. For directions, see the Service Times and Directions page.
Where do I park?
You may park anywhere you like on property; this includes the parking lot and the large grassy area as well. In addition, convenient parking is available at two locations on 2nd Ave – Papa Joe’s BBQ and the State Farm-Rusty Sheehan parking lot across the street.
What should I wear to Sunday services?
Attire varies greatly on Sunday mornings. Some will be in coat-and-tie or dresses, others in jeans or something more casual.
Will I fit in at FPO?
We are a multi-generational church desiring to create a hospitable place of belonging for every type of person. We want our church to be a place where you can process and grow in your knowledge of the Lord Jesus, and where you can be in life together with other people.
How often does FPO celebrate the Lord’s Supper?
We celebrate the Lord’s Supper on the first Sunday of each month.
Where do babies, kids, and youth go?
Our infant and toddler nursery is open during the SS hour and during worship services. We have Sunday school classes for ages 2 through 12th grade. See our list of classes and locations here.
Do I need to bring anything with me for my children?
Please bring the following to the nursery (12 weeks old through age 3):
- Clearly labeled sippy cup
- Individual snack if your child has specific allergies
- Lovie, pacifier or blanket for comfort
Ours is a well-child nursery, so please be sure your children are free of the following symptoms for 24 hours:
- Fever (without the help of medication)
- Runny nose
- Chronic cough
- Throat infections
- Any contagious disease
Where do children go during the Worship Service?
We have childcare available for children 12 weeks old through age 3. Not only do we long for our children to learn to worship, we also believe that God is faithful to work through worship in all of us, no matter our age. That’s why we encourage children 4 and up to be in worship with their families. We know that this will make for some noise and movement in the pews, which is fine with us! If having kids in worship is a transition for you, we understand, and we would love to work with you!
