The nursery at FPO is open Sunday mornings during the worship service(s) and Sunday school.
The nursery is available for children from 12 weeks old through age three. Our goal is for the nursery to be a place where all children feel the presence and love of God, and where their first impressions of church are full of love, grace, and delight.
We long for our children to learn to worship, and we also believe that God is faithful to work through worship in all of us, no matter our age. That’s why young children are welcome in our service, and children ages four and older are encouraged to be in worship with their families. We know that this will make for some noise and movement in the pews, which is fine with us! However, if you need to leave the service with your child, we now offer a Training Area in the lobby with pews and a live feed of the service. This area is reserved for parents seeking to train their children to participate in worship.
Help for First-Time Visitors
First time visitors, please see the nursery director on duty so she may help you get acquainted with the nursery and answer any questions you have.
It is easiest for parents with nursery age children to enter through the double doors at the 9th Street entrance (follow the signs to Childrens Hall). These doors open directly to the nursery hallway.
Please fill out a security sticker and place it on your child. You will keep the numbered end and present it when you come to pick up your child. Then drop off your child at the nursery door, and leave your cell phone number in case you need to be reached.
What to bring:
- Clearly labeled sippy cup
- Individual snack if your child has specific allergies
- Lovie, pacifier or blanket for comfort
