The Worship Team plays a key role in leading our congregation in corporate worship. We look for worship team members who delight in the Lord with all their heart, seek after humility in their musical talents, and encourage one another in brotherly love.
Our hope is that worship at FPO would be characterized by depth and simplicity that engages the head and heart to inspire both an awe and intimacy with our Savior.
We have many dedicated volunteers who are involved on Sunday mornings. The following is a list of the possible opportunities to serve the Lord and FPO through the Worship Ministry.
Vocalists and instrumentalists assist in leading the congregation in worship on Sunday morning. We do not have a formula for instrumentation. We love to combine whatever instruments the Lord has provided for a sound that representative of our community. If you would like to use your musical gifts, whatever they are, to draw God’s people into an authentic response to all that He is, we want to explore how your gifts can be used at FPO. Rehearsals are on Wednesdays from 8:00 – 9:30 pm in the sanctuary of FPO.
Our sound is controlled each week by a volunteer. If you have experience with operating sound systems or the willingness to learn, FPO has a frequent need for your gifts. We also provide basic training for this position.
If you feel your talents and abilities might not necessarily fit into one of the two aforementioned categories, don’t let that stop you from inquiring about how you may serve. If you have a passion for worship, there are many other ways to serve the worship ministry outside of Sunday morning. Don’t hesitate to inquire!
